Vicki Hubiak, President / CEO of HR Solutions, Inc., saw an overwhelming need and had a vision to create a family-centric society where every individual has access to quality career services, ensuring long-term professional success and personal fulfillment. Because of this need, Vicki founded Empowering Careers, Inc., an HR Solutions, Inc. Public Charity. Vicki and her team are committed to helping individuals through comprehensive career transition services, equipping them with the necessary tools, skills, and support to achieve meaningful employment and career
advancement.
Going into her 30th year, she built a successful and highly regarded specialty human resources company offering executive recruitment, contract and temp-to-hire staffing, executive coaching, and corporate outplacement services. Vicki and her team learned effective strategies for mentoring clients that could reliably lower barriers to employment and career advancement.
The program’s activities, intended to complement our region’s existing workforce development efforts, include professional resume writing; in-depth assessments and skills training; coaching and mentoring; a guided job search process using the Company’s proprietary database, ATS, and outplacement systems; and engaged follow up with both employer and client to ensure collaboration for sustained success. The program aims to place individuals in living-wage-or-better jobs and to consciously learn from clients.
We have learned over almost 30 years how to interview employers for a highly detailed and comprehensive understanding of what a particular job will entail and then “matchmake” it with someone who may not by themselves have been able to qualify or imagine themselves qualifying for such a job. Training, coaching, and follow up communication with both employee and employer are key factors, along with dedicated “barrier busting.”
The program will tap into and build upon our Company’s existing collaboration history with local for-profit and non-profit organizations, universities, as well as legal and accounting firms, churches, uniform and PPE retailers, and employment agencies.
